Ascot Racecourse

Ascot Racecourse was founded in 1711 by Queen Anne. She saw the potential for a racecourse at East Cote, declaring that it looked an ideal place for "horses to gallop at full stretch" while out riding.

Since acceding to the throne in 1952, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has been an unswerving patron of Royal Ascot. She has never missed a Royal Meeting. She has also owned 22 winners of races at Royal Ascot. In 2013, Estimate, owned by Her Majesty The Queen, won the Gold Cup - the first time in the race's 207-year history that it has been won by a reigning monarch.

Royal Ascot week is the centrepiece of Ascot's year when the races in the third week of June become a Royal Week. On average there are 25 Race Days and regular Events held throughout the year making it one of the most iconic British Hospitality locations.

Attended by The Queen, Royal Ascot is one of the gentry's social events of the year - as famous for who is wearing what, especially on Ladies Day, as the racing itself. Over 300,000 people make the annual visit to Berkshire during Royal Ascot week, making this Europe’s best-attended race meeting.

Derbyshire County Cricket Club

In 2018 Kappture agreed to become Derbyshire County Cricket Club new official hospitality innovation partner. The long-term agreement, which runs until the end of the 2022 season, will include the installation of networked electronic point of sale (EPOS) and stock management solutions to enable the club to provide a better payment service for members and supporters.

Kappture will receive prominent branding at the County ground and the naming rights for the Kappture Legends Lounge as part of the partnership "we're delighted to have Kappture as our new Official Hospitality Innovation Partner. Jockey Club Cheltenham Races

Cheltenham Races

Kappture were awarded the contract by Jockey Club Catering to supply the Point of Sale solution for the new prestigious grandstand at Cheltenham Racecourse.

On November 13th Princess Anne officially opened the new grandstand at Cheltenham Racecourse that is named after her. The Princess Royal Grandstand is the final part of a £45m redevelopment of the course, which was completed within 19 months. A champagne bar on the first floor is named after the horse Big Buck's, who won four World Hurdles at the Cheltenham Festival and a record 18 consecutive races.

Installation of the first phase of 62 EPOS terminals took place during October 2015 and provided full integration with contactless credit & debit card payments, in turn facilitating Apple Pay and being in a position to launch a new click & collect customer mobile app in March 2016 for the Cheltenham Festival.

This included the replacement of 18 existing terminals in the See You Then Bar and Quevega’s plus the terminals for the Princess Royal Grandstand.

Croke Park

Croke Park, Dublin, is the third largest stadium in Europe, taking a capacity over 82,000 patrons enjoying events including field sports and concerts, and has approved certification by UEFA and FIFA.

More notably, perhaps, Croke Park is the proud home of Ireland's largest sporting and cultural organisation, the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), and has hosted sporting events for over 100 years.

The key to Croke Park’s longevity is its long history of innovation and development ensuring that the grounds remain ‘best in class’ and deliver an unrivalled experience to match patrons and guests alike. These advances range from pitch performance and maintenance technology, through to floodlights, power, and HD big screens.

To further enrich the guest experience at the stadium, Croke Park, working with Aramark and Kappture, put in place their latest enhancement project focusing on speeding up concession payments, utilising the Kappture POS system across 396 terminals across the site, whilst building in a streamlined and smart cash and stock management system.

30 of the existing tills were replaced with next-gen POS terminals, cash draws, and EFT, whilst the remaining 366 underwent a modernisation that reimaged the terminals and updated them with the latest Kappture software. This work was completed by a team of 3 installation engineers over a 5-day period, allowing for time to ensure that full integration and staff training was completed ahead of the first fixture of the year on 27th January 2018.

Not only did this deliver lightning speed transactions, but also for the first time in the stadium’s history enabled real time reporting and customisable dashboards for quick KPI analysis.

Further to this, Kappture provided additional onsite support for the Allianz League Game, with a scheduled follow up visit from the install team on the 3rd March to ensure that all training has been embedded.

After the first phase, the benefits of Kappture were clear to guests and the hospitality team, witnessing increased speed of transactions, and increased volume of sales and revenue.
